US Availability via Buy.com?

4 replies · 2,734 views · Started 27 October 2007

Has anyone ordered and then received an E90 from the US online retailer, buy.com? They've got a great price, but when the first allotment of US E90s hit retailers like Mobile Planet. Amazon, and Nokia USA, it didn't seem like buy.com got any..

(Just curious as I've had my order in with them for a long time, and they're stock status notification is non-existent..)

People are complaining about buy.com all over the web - they cancel orders stating that e90 is not available from their supplier - I got an email a while ago - buy.com is dead for e90. If you want e90 in the states, I can send you a link - it will be from the most respected company in the US for $850 delivered. PM me, if interested.

Thanks for the offer. I'm guessing that you may be referring to letstalk.com and their deal on in stock E90s at 850USD. I actually registered with them, placed an order, but the final part of the order process asked for me to enter in my SSN, so I passed on ordering from them. I even called them to speak with a human, and they confirmed they require my SSN to place the order. It's a ridiculous policy, which means I'll wait for buy.com to get them in stock.

You are correct about letstalk.com. (This is original distributor of Nokia phones in USA and since they provide service plans, as well as phones they are required by law to get you checked out - it is like you are getting a new contract with the provider - SSN is a must + a driver's license). Amazon.com has a few units in stock, as of today- you might try them, as well.

P.S. My order with buy.com was cancelled about one month ago, stating that the product was no longer available from their supplier.
Good luck, anyway
