I had enabled message delivery confirmation on my phone. So when i used to send a SMS to someone and the other person used to receive it there was a message displayed on the screen " MESSAGE DEVIVERED TO XYZ " but now whenever i send an sms to someone there is just beep or a vibration in the phone , but nothing is displayed on the screen . If the phone is on Vibration it vibrates once or if it is on ringtone it just rings once but there is no message on the screen now. WHAT COULD BE THE REASON.

Try restarting the phone. The other day my message delivery tone turned into the actual message tone, so it sounds like i received a message but it was really a delivery confirmation. In addition to that, there was no message on the screen as usual telling me it was delivered. I switched off the phone and back on and all of the sudden 5 or 6 delivery confirmations popped up. I have a feeling it has to do with sDoubler, a bug probably. Do you have sDoubler installed ?
yes man i got it. I just installed Space doubler few days back and since then this problem. Thank god it was just a trial version i have now deleted Space doubler and everything is fine now. Thanks for the help man.
I use Space Doubler and my message reports come through fine even with the messages folder compressed. I dint usually bother with delivery reports but turned them on since seing this thread, and they still work fine.
