Hi there!
Here is my problem:
How do I set the domain where to login in the wlan settings? Or is this possible at all? I was trying to access the wlan in our school but I just couldnt get the connection working.
I was using WPA-Enterprise, tried with both TKIP and AES, PEAP with EAP-MS-CHAPv2 as instructed. (TKIP for WPA and AES for WPA2 although mentioned in the P1i white paper found from developer.sonyericsson.com that the phone has WPA and WPA2 available I can only see WPA-Personal and WPA-Enterprise in the list in the phone). I also had to get a certificate which I installed. The problem is that I need to sign in to a specified domain in the network to get access. Is there any way to do this? There are specific instructions for Nokia E90(?) phone but it has more options than I do. Thanks for any help you can give!
PS. I also have a wlan at home in which the phone works perfectly. Although at home I have WEP + TKIP (tried using channels 1 & 2 and works with both).
With the help of the helpdesk in school I was able to overcome this problem. In case someone else has a similar problem the solution was quite simple and as follows:
All I had to do was put <username>at-symbol<domain> (couldnt post the symbol since I dont have enough posts in these forums) in the username field to get it log in to the right domain.
Hi sekra,
I have problems with using wifi secured by dynamic wep. I assume its cert problem. In which store did you install cert - personal or CA or both? If to personal then is there CA cert for that available in yor P1i?
All I had to do is install the certificate and it installed itself in the CA folder.. There was no option to install it anywhere else. And that certificate was made by support from my school and specific to my school network only.
hey sekra
even i m facing a samekind of problem with my p1i.
