Music player and album images

Just uploaded new software to the phone (ME73) and it works great.

I have also uploaded a load of music to it, i note that there was a default song on there - In my heart by Moby, (not my cup of tea) but when played it had a picture of the album shown on the screen. All my songs only have the default picture (a blue CD case with a gold disc coming out of it).

I have used ID3-TagIT 3 to change the property information of each song and even added a picture, but the phone does not display the picture when it is played. I have tried transfering the songs using PC suite and dumping them direct without any difference.

The only thing i can see is when i dump the phones to memory they are .MP3's where as the Moby song is a .DCF ???

Anyone got any ideas

Cheers for looking and ideas are good ideas i say

I've tried a few ways of embedding album art, generally with little success.

Also put quite a few podcasts on the N73ME as well, and all of them show the album art either in Vista or on the iPod, but the N73 seems to be hit and miss.

Reckon its the worst part of the N73s music player. The only guaranteed method seems to be manually - do it via the music player app itself. Very, very long winded though.

found this on another site, seems to work without to much touble.

Find the album art (use Google), then copy to your 'Images' folder on the N73 (or wherever you like, so long as you know where to find them).

Then, in Music Player, go to your list of albums and highlight the album you wish to add cover art to. Choose options, then album art, then options, then change. The phone then navigates to the image gallery and you can choose the artwork from there. Once the process has completed you can delete the image from the phone's 'Image' directory as the thumbnail is now stored in the tracks ID Tag

Worked for me, give it a go.

I found ID3 TagIt hit and miss for album art. Think it has something to do with the version of the ID3 tag the N73 reads.

I use Media Monkey to catalogue and tag all my music and haven't had a problem when transferring MM tagged stuff to the N73.

Thanks for the above - was wondering why some of mine copied art and some didn't but this works great.
