Internet via Bluetooth on the Z8

Hello everyone!

Yesterday I tried setting up a Bluetooth Connection in order to get (cheap) Internet Access on my Z8.

What I've done so far:

PC-Side:
WinXP SP2, Widcomm-Stack installed, up'n'running.
Shared my WLAN Connection via right-click -> share connection (with the BT-Connection)
gave the BT-Connection the IP 192.168.2.1, mask: 255.255.255.0

Z8:
created a new Internet Connection Profile, BT PAN - Internet,
IP: 192.168.2.2 / 255.255.255.0
DNS: 192.168.2.1
Proxy: none
Role: unknown - unknown (is this correct?)

I then initiated the connection with the Z8-WebBrowser. The BT-Connection on my PC got enabled and I could see some basic windows traffic on that interface as well as the arp + DNS-requests and -replies.

What I didn't get is the actual HTTP Traffic or any data. Email didn't work as well, just the DNS resolution seems to work. ssh to a LAN-PC didn't work either.

Ah, my personal firewall was disabled during the test. I turned the Windows Firewall on and off, wasn't sure if it's used for NATing...

Also tried IPenableRouter in the registry incl. reboot - No effect.

Any ideas? Is the role I assigned correct? Is mrouter the better way to do this?

regards,

koro
