Warranty in Europe (n95 8Gb) if I buy in USA?

Hi,

I'm thinking to buy a N95 8Gb in USA in 2 weeks (I'll be there for 1 week) and I don't know if the warranty will remain valid in Europe just in case I have any problem. Can any of you help me?

On the other hand regarding the SW updates, will I be able to upgrade it to upcoming SW releases using a Europe code?. I've read somewhere that there are several product codes and depending on them you can upgrade it sooner or later. So, will I have any problem with updates?

Isn't the N95 8GB that's sold in the US a European model anyway? Don't quote me on that, I certainly don't own one, but the N95 8GB doesn't have a US version.

i read somewhere that the US one will not work here because of differences in frequency etc.

I don't think so. It is compatibel with all frequency ranges (900, 1800, 1900, 2100).

i was there 2 weeks ago ... thats why i didnt get it co of the freq

damn it.

All versions of the N95 are compatible with all the GSM frequencies, so they'll work anywhere for GSM/GPRS. However, they do not all have compatible 3G frequencies, so you'll be limited to slower data transfer if you get the wrong N95 for your region.

I think this is how it goes:
N95-1 (original, silver, 64MB RAM and lens cover): European 3G
N95-3 (silver, 128MB RAM, no lens cover): US 3G
N95 8GB (black, 128MB RAM): European 3G
