I have just downloaded an updated version of Nokia Software Updater from the Nokia website so that I can check to see if the new version of firmware is available, I have installed in on my PC.
When I run the software it all looks fine and finds my phone but then comes up with "unable to retreive phone information"
Is anyone else having this problem and can someone help.
Would a hard reset do the trick? :frown:

Just to claify. Are you using NSU version 1.4.14 and is your phone the N95 or the 8GB?
I have both and the NSU works fine with the N95 but does not recognise the 8GB.
I believe that it's because there are no updates available for the 8GB. Shame it would have been nice to have the reinstall option come up for the 8GB.
Ian
Thanks for responding.
I am using v1.4.14en and I have got the N95 and not the 8GB and normally it will recognise the phone and then tell me that my phone had the latest version of firmware and that there were no new updates.
Have you installed the latest version of PCSuite as well? The original in the cd is outdated.
When you have the latest PCSuite then do an update of the phone pcsuite software (it's an option in the menu of pcsuite somewhere).
And (perhaps you know it already) you have to connect to pc via usb cable and pcsuite mode.
Anti Virus or Firewall software .. for the duration of the update.
Good Luck!😊
