would say o2 has beter customer service and they get things sorted out, but the good thing about oranges crappy customer service is that they know they are shitt and just palm u off with money!!
Strangely I experienced excellent CS from Orange this morning for the first time in years! I'm sure it was just probably a fluke, but I felt the need to write about it on my blog to bore everyone. CLICKY LINKY
I find that generally customer service is 10x better during office hours than outside them. I am fortunate that I can call from work without getting grief from my boss so I always do that. I suppose people that work in the call centers 9-5 are a better quality employee than the part timers they probably use for the later hours shifts.
Of course, this is for the UK call centers, not all of them have those
I get great signal with T-Mo.
O-2 has been less than brilliant.
Voda (I use for PAYGO) has excellent signal (prolly better than T-Mo even).
But I'm with T-Mo for their awesome data plan - their service rates well next to the others.
Orange is worst for service and signal (can't speak for 3 though).
I'm with Vodafone which I've been on for years so can't comment on other networks.
The signal is very good and their customer service has always sorted out any problems quickly enough, but they do have a very annoying call management system called Vicky!
Well, I was going to upgrade my phone after 18months on T-Mobile with Web'n'Walk yesterday.
As I have an N95 and I'm happy with it I just wanted a good value for sale phone so I can buy a PS3 for it 😊
After loads of research on the net and in shops I ended up signing contract with Vodafone through Phones4U.
18mnts contract with ability to upgrade or cancel after 14mnts
Free N95 8GB + £70 immediate cashback
750minutes + unlimited texts + unlimited data for £45 a month.
It only sucks that if you want your number to be ported on Vodafone you won't get your phone until it's done in a week.
As for T-Mobile, the reception definitely is not their strongest point, especially in shops (sainsbury's etc - it's really annoying when you wanna call someone to check shopping list and there's no reception while you see other people happily chatting on their phones) also I only got 3.5G once in Central London.
The Flext tarriff looks good on the paper, but for the same money on other networks you get both : texts AND minutes, not minutes Or texts.
So I'm looking forward to start enjoying the fastest internet (that's what I heard from many sources about Vodafone) and the best reception!
(And most likely will have a brand new N95 8GB for sale 😉 )
Check on the unlimited. Mobile data plans are never unlimited.
Yep that's another good thing about Voda, the internet especially 3.5G is very fast and it's seemless when it switches between 3.5G 3G and GPRS.
The voda data plan is £7.50 per month for 120mb. I never use it abroad though - extremely expensive.

He's right - no such thing as unlimited.
Ring them and find out how much you're allowed under Fair Usage Terms.
Just for comparison, T-Mo gives you 10-GB/month for 22.50.

Jees !
And I thought they'd come into to the 21st century.
That's appalling.
T-Mo gives you 1-GB for 7.50 and 3-GB for 12.50.

I checked it all before, no worries, I always have to read the small print.😉
120Mb is enough for me, I checked and my average monthly consumption is around 60Mb. It's a really cool thing this data counter on N95.
Ok, so to be precise UNLIMITED texts is also only 3000 a month:tongue::redface:
Phoenix - well you can't have everything, but as I've never really used more than 100Mb a month, speed and reliability is more important for me than extra allowance.
Of course, if anyone does want an unlimited plan, they could get an iphone, sell it and just use the contract.

Yeah, that's why I went for T-Mo - 'cos I use internet radio a lot of the time - average 4-GB/month.
But 3/3.5G coverage and bandwidth is excellent - an average of 1.3 Meg when I use the phone as a lappy modem. 😃
I've never gone over 120mb in a month either, but with Voda you need the data plan, otherwise they sting you for 1 for 500KB per day, the next 14.5MB per day is free, but paying 1 per day is a LOT!

That's why I have this 120Mb bundle as a part of my line rental.

I coudlnt reccommend 3 more than enough i was with them for 2 years with my 6630 an n73 but left them for a cheaper contract with orange with my n95
but i hate orange bad customer service, and they dont cover 3g in my area which 3 did and when i asked them why they didnt they told me they do the more populated areas and that 3 was only sharing with t mobile. Thats good isnt it! also they charge for messaging reports which i didnt no and 3 didnt! there signal isnt the best either
so I wouldnt get the n95 on orange at all! three is the best with their x series plans
Living in London, T-mobile is better than Vodafone for 3G and 3.5G speeds and signal.

The only trouble I found with 3 was that when my signal went down and calls were dropped (and it was very often at home!) it took far too long to roam for network BEWARE or you will end up bouncing your new phone of the floor/wall!
I cancelled with 3 and went off to O2.

I've heard this story so many times with 3 customers, who did exactly the same thing and ditched 3 for a provider they could get a signal with.
I've yet to hear of a satisfied 3 customer.
