Everybody,
I've got my N80i upgraded via NSS & NSU (by changing the product code). I think of the hardware is kind of old, I reached the "white screen" problem. Whenever slide the phone, standby too long, or pressing key too fast, it completly no responsible or truned "white screen".
The phone has been out of warrenty, I dont' want to bring it back to service center.
I am think of any way I could downgrade it back to N80. I tried to use the same way by changing the product code back from 0539367 (N80i) to 0535112 (N80), then do the upgrade again in NSU. NSU said it is no need to upgrade as the version already at "5.0719.0.2".
I don't know how now.. can anyone share your experience?
Thanks in advance....
You will brick your phone if you downgrade it.

Downgrade works fine if you use the dead phone recovery options in phoenix. Not entirely sure why you would want to do that though - it's a bit of a small step backwards in functionality.
All versions of N80 firmware will work on all N80 hardware, regardless of age. I used to get the white screen problem with old firmware, version 3 and early 4 stuff, it was very buggy at best. V5 seems mostly ok, there are a few minor errors, though the model has now been superseded by N9X and N8X models. (All of which have inferior screen resolution, but that's a different gripe)
put the code back to the generic one and try the reninstall method... Ive had to use to reinstall a couple of times on the N80 as previous f/w installations seem to give the white screen.... or cant connect to networks...
