Nokia Maps

Hi - this is my 1st post so please if you can help me great. I have a N95 which I am very pleased with apart from 1 problem. I run Maps (the original one not the Nokia Maps upgrade version) and when I plan a route and start navigating it shows the direction going down as I'm driving. It sounds crazy but I want the arrow to go in the direction I am driving not backwards. Anyone else have this problem or is there a simple solution I can't see? Thanks

Dya mean that the app continuously points north and doesn't change as you change direction? I'm having the same problem and would like a solution to this as well.

Have you paid for a Nokia Maps licence. If you are just using the free version that came with the phone then it will always point north. Once you pay supposedly it will change.

True.

I paid for my license and it works very well. Voice and direction on map just as it should be (like TomTom etc).

If by pointing North that's 6'oclock then no it doesn't. It actually changes direction as I drive along but always downwards and not pointing up in the direction I am driving. Guess I'll just have to turn the phone upside down lol.

Ahh that's nice to know 😊 Thankfully I don't drive (yet) so I don't need to pay for the service, but when I am I may just do so.

North is 12 O Clock, it will always face that direction if you have not paid for a Licence.
