N5 8GB eBay warning

The seller has a lot of good rep.. what with that mention of not using the standard "ask a question" thing, it does sound like it might well be a compromised account. Especially because that seller appears to usually sell bathroom supplies!

usually they hijack a real account .. and its amazing how many of them there are.
Prior to the N95 being actually available this sort of thing was rife .. I used to send the "ask question" to the owner .. "is this really your auction?" to which I got a few replies like WTF?! err no thanks!
Also report the auction to ebay ..
The easiest way to figure a genuine auction is to look at what else the seller has already sold in the past .. one lady from HongKong specialized in Dolls etc .. yet somehow she was selling hi-tech smartphones? After I alerted her she was VERY appreciative!

NEVER send money via Western Union or any similar service to anyone you don't personally know. And don't fall for the fake escrow services either.

Cheers ..😊

Mobile phones are one of the most scammed items on ebay. You really really have to be careful.

And with selling too. Ive tried to sell a phone twice now, both times the auction has been won and then dispite my large 'I post to UK only' on the auction, they then give me the 'I need it now' story and want it to go somewhere else. Nigeria both times 🙄

Then you get 'paypal' emails, saying that you need to send proof of sending before payment can be made.

Paypal (nor anyone else as far as I know) never say this.

Adding to the great advice:
Never buy from an auction where images hosted on another server are used to display text/email addresses descriptions etc as the above auction does. Usually you are sent the item and the images with the item description or terms & conditions are changed so you have fewer courses of action against them.

When on eBay for buy an expensive phone, always buy from trusted sellers with huge positive feedback and always pay with paypal with verified account.

That way you are protected even if it is a spam.
