Instrument recording

This might sound completely barking mad,but I was wondering is there any way to record instruments through your N95?

I noticed the jack on the side of the phone and it got me wondering.

Alternatively is there any kind of multi-track software I can download for it.

Thanks

The only recording software I know of is Alon's recorder, which is a sort of high powered dictaphone, with graphic equalizer and ability to record to any phone location in mp3. You can find it here -> Clicky However, the N95 doesn't have a separate mic input, so you're stuck with the inbuilt one, which given the sounds I've heard on my videos, isn't too bad, but I'm not sure what sort of quality you're after and it's hardly going to give the separation you might be after. You'd then have to export the mp3s into your own PC editing software.

But if you're after multi track, then I doubt there would be anything for the N95. I can't believe it would be powerful enough (and hardly the right market).

Well it looks like a good start at least!

Il keep on the lookout too and let ya's know if anything else turns up.

Potentially it does have a separate mic input - via the new connector that the Reuters guys have been given to try.

I think the N95 could do a fair job of MIDI sequencing (maybe with the odd bit of mp3 audio thrown in), its a lot more powerful than my old Atari!

Yes, you're probably right. I've read a Nokia document that shows it has the capability to play 16 simultaneous voices - check out the Sound Mixer resource information here -> Clicky

Nice little sis included, though you may have trouble with the certificate, requiring the usual date change trick.

Looks cool. Also your right about the certificate I'll look into how to sort that soon(I quite new to symbian stuff).

If you havent already you may want to check out a program called Vibe. Its a MIDI sequencer,it's rather cool for just muckin' about on.
