Hello! I've been around various mobile phone forums and none of them gave me the info. I need.. except this one so thus I signed up to ask for some help.
I recieved an N80 phone from work and did an update over NSU to get it to the latest version of which it did, 4.(something or another). All went smoothly and was working fine. A mate of mine told me I could update to 5.x which is for the N80 Internet Edition, so I used NSS to change my product code (worked fine) and then NSU to update to 5.x - NSU said 5.x is the latest available and was updating, and then, my girlfriend comes along and sits on the bed (as my laptop and phone was on there) and disconnects the USB cable from the phone! 😡
NSU says something about removing battery, USB cable, charger and reconnecting so I did all that and NSU seems to of resumed but then it says the device cannot be found. I try NSU again and it detects my phone as an N80 (Windows detects it as an UNKNOWN DEVICE) and it attempts to update (downloads it) but then it just disconnects, asks me to do the battery thing again and doesn't go any futher.
I've tried ALLSORTS, everything you could possibly imagine (well near enough :P). Phoenix 2005/2006/2007, Diego 3.07/3.09, followed about 10 or-so differant tutorials, differant patches, dongle cracks, cracks, etc.
Phoenix gives me:
Programming Device initializing failedHRESULT 0x8401226c (-2080300436)
Flash: Failed to detect prommer device. If you want to initialize operation without connection then you need to add some parameter to skip prommer detection. If USB dead flash use: BOOT_ROM_USB_FLASH.
with dead USB flashing, and without:
Product mode changing before flashing to Normal failed and the phone is also not in ADL modeHRESULT 0x80004005 (-2147467259)
This means:
Unspecified error
Flash: Phone returned response that cannot be handled.
I have a CA-53 cable. I really need some help on this, can ANYONE help me or is it going to result in a visit to a Nokia Service Centre?
Thanks!
