Any size. Under the limit of free space on your phone obviously.
obviously not!!!

try it and let me know!

i deleted everything yet cant send files 900k or more

after sending file it says something like error try closing some applications, the file doesnt get sent

Have sent 1.5MB wav file to phone. (Just after buying the phone)
And it was with IR. Now owning both BT and IR.
Not able to test again as I only have about 350kB free.

something fishy going on here then, might have to hard reset last time i did that went wrong had to wait over a month to get my fone back!

I think the 7650 copies the file it's receiving to a temporary space, then copies it to the subfolder of the mail directory. I've managed to send files up to 2-3 MB via BT to my phone (with 3.5 MB free space)... the whole file is received by the phone, but once the file transfer is complete, the phone will be working in the background for a second or two, then pop up with the message saying there is not enough space.

I think it's good practice for any file being received byte-by-byte to be written temporarily to an area of the drive, then copied to it's intended destination, but I feel that it's something of a limitation with the small amount of space available to us - something that perhaps Symbian should have looked more closely at.

Unfortunately, if my guess is correct, it means that the largest file size that you can send to the phone is x, where x ~ (<TotalFreeSpace> / 2). This rules out Grand Theft Auto on the GoBoy!

Has anyone managed to copy anything bigger onto their phone? I'd love to be able to play GTA on the way to work in the mornings...

try another hard reset. but this time just make sure you uninstall all apps first and have the charger plugged in so you wont have problems. it works. 😃

tried sending on 3 fones now same thing, seems like it works when fone is new or after hard reset....

i hope this is not the case with 3650 as well!?
