You don't turn it on. It depends on your handset and your network - do they support it, if they do then you are using it 😊

Im on Vodafone so is it safe to assume they support it

You must make sure that High speed packet access is enabled in your connection settings.
If Voda in your area support it then you will get a 3G symbol beneath your signal status bar and 3.5G when you are downloading data by HSDPA. (This is assuming you have v.12 firmware).
Check your data charges cos it could cost big if you don't have an inclusive package.
T-mobile give 'unlimited' web'n'walk for £7.50/month.

Aye, I think they have a fair usage policy of 1Gb a month. O2 have a similar offer, but they only allow up to 200Mb 😡

I dont think HSDPA is avialbel on the first tier of Web n Walk. I may be wrong here but I was under the impression that HSDPA was only available on WnW max.

I thought that from what it said on their website, but im on standard Web n Walk and get 3.5G icon aswell as HSDPA speeds.

I think the symbol for HSDPA may be different depending upon which handset you use - I have seen a handset when the 3g symbol has a "+" next to it to show that HSDPA. If you are not sure check the user manual and this should show the symbol that will appear on your handset.

Yes, Vodafone supports HSDPA. The icon will change to 3.5G when coverage is available.

You should see 3.5G showing below the signal icon, but, only when you are downloading!
If HSDPA is offered by your provider then you will get it on any package and even with PAYG.

I called them today and was explained that I have to upgrade my web'n'walk plan for extra �5 a month to get HSDPA. After 16months on contract already! A$$hole$! And I also was explained that N95 doesn't support push email:tongue: 😎 . Thanks god I'm leaving T-Mobile in 2 months...:icon14:

However, as this is an N95 forum I think it can be assumed that I was refering to the said phone.
