My god... I have been an eager gadget / software fiddler for longer than I can remember, but jesus WTF is with the signing thing, why so complicated.
We (rightfully so) are going crazy over rotateme but I along with many other 'geeks' are stuck in a world of pain with this signing cack.
I have looked at guide after guide with me having a black face every time.
I dont want to have to rely on anyone as I would be fed up of requests, but would be greatful if there is any software we can use as a wizzard.
Symbian signed dot com seems too much for the single user...
Is there an easy way? I have paid and received my rotate beta and it's just sat on my desktop...
Rant over, many thanks
no easy way
pm me your imei and ill get a signed one over to you.

Hi there, Like i said in my post I'm sorry to whine and ask for someone else to do it... but it just seems mad someone hasn't designed a wizard that specifies the sis file, and then asks you for your imei.....

Thanks, I know there a few posts popping up with this general subject about rotate me or signing, i'll just call it a ball ache!
It took me a good few days to work out, and I was tearing my hair out trying to figure out how to do it, I used this thread to help me.
http://www.gosymbian.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=757
Had a few people offer to do it for me but once you get it done, it only takes 30 secs to sign another app after that, and also don't really fancy giving out my IM number.
floppy: signed and sent via email

A good wizard but you still have to go through the hoops at Symbian and if you have a yahoo or google or msn mail account, you're stuffed
theres no easy way! Its just the way it is.
Giving out your IMEI number to anyone is not a good idea!

An official, not blocked IMEI no. can be used to resurect a stolen, blocked phone and run up a bill on your phone account.
If you are happy with that carry on!

Not true while yes it can be assigned to another handset and allow the use of one with a blocked imei you actually register on the network with your Sim number. the IMEI is simply provided in the handshaking process so it its blocked the phone will not gain access. you cant use someones IMEI number to make calls on their bill or account.

NO no no no... not true... IMEI is only used as a verification id in the handshaking for connecting... someones not gonna start calling AbuDhabi 24/7 and run up your phone bills just cause they have your IMEI... 😎
EDIT>> Shoulda read page 2 before I commented... but I guess we are saying the same thing... 😉

Its your choice, its personal data to your phone, so make sure if you DO give it anyone your happy to do so. I find it hard to find a way to rip you off with just your IMEI number.

Some one could report a handset stolen with it though and have it blocked. No gain to them but some people are arseholes

You'd need a few more details to get a phone blocked than just saying hello my IMEI is XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX block it, but yeah... I agree with your last part!
I cant register any email account for sign rotate me, can anyone sign it for me, please? mi imei is 352255011765983, thanks
