web broswer doesnt work on n95 HELP HELP — Nokia N95 and N95 8GB

I have a new n95 but i cant seem to be able to browse using it.
I think i can get a wifi signal through my bt hub because the phone is able to fing the signal and say it strong, but when i try to/press stsrt browsing nothing happens. if i am on menu > web > then select web it juss goes back to the previous screen . help

I've had the same problem. My brother helped me setup mine as he was more annoyed by it than me. Allow me to suggest a solution:

Goto Menu -> Tools -> Settings -> Connection -> Wireless LAN -> Options -> Advanced settings. You'll know you have the right screen as it'll pop up a "changing advanced settings is not recommended" message. Just say Yes to that, and change the settings so they match the following:

Automatic configuration: Disabled
Long retry limit: 4
Short retry limit: 7
RTS threshold: 2347
TX power level: 100 mW
Power saving: Disabled

Please note that excessive use of WLAN will make the phone quite warm. As far as I know, this is normal. Best of luck 😊

thanx. tried it no luck this time around.

i can search for pictures for instance and open them but i cant open websites. any suggestions
