I was just un-installing a program on my n95-8gb and it crashed my phone. It wouldn't let me do anything so I had to remove the battery. When i put the battery back in, and turned it on, the phone only gave me a white screen. Nothing would work.
Luckily I found a tip on a forum to hold '*' '3' and 'answer' key when booting up. This has reformatted my phone though, so now i have to reinstall EVERYTHING again, and i'm not happy at all!
Also, I have now lost my key for Spiderman3 movie, anyone know how to get that back, or if i have lost it forever?
This is a bit of a joke to be honest, the phone is about 3 days old, and i haven't installed all my software to warrant making my backup yet.
Just thought i'd vent, and also i found the *, 3, and answer tip to be quite handy!!
Cheers!
Thanks for sharing - very very annoying.
I think if you contact whoever you bought it from you might be able to get the Spiderman key back.
Yeah, I will contact them. Its most annoying since I had JUST got all my stuff on there, and the menus set up as i wanted them, ha!
Oh well, I just mainly thought id let people know that if there's does it, you can always restore it back to original settings with the above method. I thought the phone was dead for sure until i read about this method. I don't know if it is in a sticky somewhere, but i think it should be. I bet i'm not the only one this will happen to!
Apart from this though it's an amazing phone, and the battery is plenty adequate now. Sure, it'd be nice if it lasted days, but i can get a day no probs, with web browsing, a little tomtom etc, phone calls etc.
