V7 is now available for older standalone units, so hopefully v7 Symbian is on it's way.

There's two stories on http://www.pocketgpsworld.com (you'll need to scroll down)

1. Version 7.10 Maps Now Available To Purchase
2. TomTom v7 Upgrade For x10 Devices Now Available

Old news

31st Oct and 1st November.

Ive previously said that its expected in Oct (obviously not now) or November. So November is hopeful.

Mind you, I have noticed one thing today. On the tomtom homepage in the quicklinks, theres usually a 'mobile device navigation' or some such. Its not there anymore. I dont think this means anything other than them redesigning the site slightly, but confusing none the less.

When I see this page change http://www.tomtom.com/products/category.php?ID=2&Language=1

I'll be happy!

Unfortunatly no-one can answer if mapshare will be included on the symbian version.

I hope it comes out soon. I've been using Tomtom for a few years now like the way it works and I'm not that impressed with the Nokia software. Just out of interest, how well will this software work without a touch screen device?
