Hi guys,
I've been using my E61 for more then a year now (which is very long for me 😉) but the battery is getting old. It will just make it in to the evening...:frown:
I'm still happy about the symbian platform but I have some things I miss on my trusty E61:
A2DP
Camera
and most of all I'm very annoyed by the feature introduced in the first ROM upgrade that numbers can only be inputted by holding down the blue function key! 😡 :icon13: 😡
For now I'm in doubt of buying a new device:
The still not available (will it ever come?) Samsung i570
or the E61i
So here is my question which probably some of you can answer:
Do you have to hold down the blue function key to input numbers (in some programs)?
Thanks for your time.
Wouter
Yep it does. There is a very long thread at Howards Forum regarding my post there about it now.

Hallo
I might missunderstand you but on my E61i I need to press blue function key as well but if I am press it twice then I dont need to press the key to get the numbers. You added: (in some programs)?...which I not understand though.
Hi Janptr (jan peter?)
Some programs (like HandyBase or Papyrus) have bypassed the buttonpress problem in their program. That's why I mentioned "in some programs"

Do you mean that if you press the blue key twice you get the equivalent of a Num Lock?
Hold down the blue key if you like but a double press acts like Num Lock. The icon in the top right changes to show you this.
The user manual is your friend - I don't find anything weird about number input on the E61i - it works great, best keyboard by far.

That's true, but it do not work in some Java applications. Very annoying "feature" in some cases.
