I just ordered my N95 last Sunday and will be getting it this Monday. I am excited to get it and play with it. My last phone was the 6682 but while I was in high school I never understood how powerful the phone was.

I will not make that mistake with the N95 this time around.

I plan on using the phone outside of the US (I bought the US version with updated specs, but its still Quad Band) in areas of Japan and UK.

I basically want to blog my vacations and journeys with the N95 but I want to know, from experienced users who have done something like this...

Is a blue tooth keyboard a good purchase for something like this? Extra battery? Different applications?

Hrm...any advice would be appreciated. That...and if the N95 still will tower against the N82...if not I could always return it...

If you're doing a lot of text extra a Bluetooth keyboard can help. I recommend the Nokia one since it also has the S60 keys on it.

Extra battery can be good if you've not got access to a power source. An alternative is one of the Proporta Mobile Charging kits or similar (basically a big battery you can recharge the phone with).

You may want to consider what your data romaing rates will be when abraod. Images can get quite big. You will be limited to 2.5G when not in the US. It's a pain but just means things will be a bit slower when downloading/ uploading.

One way to this blogging is to Vox which is supported by the Gallery application via Online Share. Or you can use Flickr and set it up to automatically post photos to an existing blog.

Hope this helps.

awesome, ty for the advice.

I tried to sign up for TypePad for blogging but it has a monthly charge on it just blog which I think is kinda lame...

I will try Vox and Flickr, those both have blogging systems you say?

for ease of use both flickr and vox are good for using with the N95 as they both come already built into the device, you'll be able to post images to your flickr account and with VOX you have a full blogging service that can go straight from the device really easily, pretty cool. it's not the most comprehensive thing as you can probably imagine, but you'll be able to type up what you want, add images and videos whilst on your travels, like someone else mentioned though be careful with data charges when you're away, i'd recommend using wifi where ever you can 😊

yeah, if Im in a home network, I just mail it in to flickr because I can change my view states for the picture...
