sticker under battery

little trivial question,
ive noticed that there is a small rectangle sticker under the battery, that
sits in a recessed spot next to the sim, which when the phone was new was white, but has slowly turned red - had the phone for 6 or so months.
anyone else have this, and have any idea what its for?

thanks

Mine is white to. I tried scratching it a bit and heating it up but it stayed white.

....actually, if I stare really hard at it for over ten minutes then pretty patterns appear on it :afraid:

wonder whats caused mine to go red, it hasnt been in water or anything like that

Funny you mention water, as no one else has 😊

The sticker turns red if it gets wet, generally indicating that the phone's been for a swim. Most operators won't replace a phone if they think it's been damaged in this way.

Yours may have discoloured through damp conditions, though that much moisture will also be bad for the phone.

Sneaky buggers! I wonder if anyone sells new stickers then 😉

Perhaps putting a small slice of electrical tape over the sticker would keep it dry - just in case 😊 I might do mine

this sucks, the most moist place mines has been is in my pocket.
always make sure it never gets near water,
really need to find someone who sell them.
or i could just remove it - it doesnt have any warranty void if removed on it.

If you remove it vey carefully and leave no trace you can always plead ignorant and hope they assume it was missed off in the factory
