I have a 5500 sport and I'm in the US. Got it from a friend at nokia. The phone all works fine but... I can barely get any kind of signal reception. I can get 3-4 bars and never a dropped call on my little $20 phone but can barely even hook to the network allot of times with the 5500. Often I can be looking right at the cell tower and not have any connection at all.
Is this a common problem with them. I'm assuming it's a problem with this particular phone. It's so bad that I have gone back to my other phone because it always works everywhere with usually double the signal that the 5500 has.
Oh the one I went back to is a motorola c139 (IIRC) it's just a tiny phone but it always connects and has never dropped a call and I have never seen it loose the network connection.
I assume I should give it back to the nokia friend and see if he can look it over and see why it's connecting ability sucks so bad right now. Any opinions or ideas?
