Importing vCal files from an Apple

I know that syncing for Macs and the P800 (for now) is not supported by Apple's iSync program, Ericsson Client, and most definitely not by SonyEricsson itself.

I have been able to successfully transfer my contacts from my PowerBook to my P800, by exporting the vCard entries of my AddressBook and sending them via the BTExchangeClient of Apple.

When I tried to do the same with the vCal files, however, I ran into a problem. The P800 can receive the vCal file, but instead of prompting me whether I would like to import the data into the Calendar application (like what happened with the vCards and Contacts), it displays the vCal file in the VIEWER application, where it looks more like a tab-delimited file.

Has anyone had any success porting data from Palm Desktop/iCal?

I could really use the help.

I have had partial success in sending calendar events from MacOS X to the P800.

Exporting an event from Palm Desktop and sending it with Bluetooth File Exchange seems to work (except for some character set problems).

Events exported from iCal have (at least) two other problems. First of all the P800 needs the filename to have the .vcs extension (not .ics). This is easily fixed, just rename the file before sending it. The other problem is the line breaks. The exported file has just LFs as line breaks and the P800 seems to expect CR LF. Add the extra CRs to the file and the P800 will recognize it!

I can't seem to get the P800 to see more than one event in a sigle file however.
