Nokia Beta labs have announced the renewed availability of the beta of Nseries PC Suite 2.0. The software gets a new look and feel and a major new addition, Nokia Photos, is integrated into Nseries PC Suite. Read on for more details and screenshots.

manage my photos on a computer? what is that all about? call me when Nokia Photos is an online service like Flickr.

once i saw how many megs it needed to install and how long it was taking to download all those bits i just gave up.

i'm convinced this application is equally as bad as HP consumer printer software.

Not everyone lives with the Internet plugged straight into their brain. 😊

I'd like to see better online integration too, but I think I prefer keeping a local copy.

My problem with Nokia Photos over the old Image Copier is that I can;t seem to sync to anywhere other than the standard "My Photos" folder. personally I don't want all my photos in there as it will get synched up to my company server, plus all my photos will clog up my roaming profile. If they could just allow me to choose where I wanted to sync to, like in the good old days, then I'd be quite happy with it.

Soooooooo frustrating! Why don't Nokia develop a mac application so I can upgrade my bleedin' firmware, sync my stuff blah blah. Grrr. Very frustrating.

The only thing you can't do on a Mac currently is update your firmware.
Nokia offers iSync plugins for all major phones and it's Nokia Multimedia Transfer program with support for iTunes/iPhoto and a device browser.
It is to be honest much better (and works better) than the bloated PC Suite.
Get it from http://europe.nokia.com/A4423133

If you have an Intel mac you can update your firmware using the PC Client by installing XP or Vista on VMWare Fusion/Parallels/Boot Camp

Seems as though the latest version of Download! isn't quite ready for all N series phones. I tried to install it on my N75 only to find that at the end of the install, it would error out and say that it couldn't be installed.

Can anyone confirm if the device browser for Windows Explorer is in the Nseries suite or not? Everytime I click on "Explore my Nokia device" all it does is open My Computer. The phone is never displayed there. Yet the Update Manager says everything is installed and up to date. *shrug* I don't miss the SMS or Contacts stuff but browsing into the external memory card on the phone is definitely something I miss.

The "Explore my Nokia device" functionality is supposed to access the phone's file system using the Windows Portable Devices (WPD) technology. However, you need to install either Windows Media Player 11 or Windows Media Format 11 runtime to enable WPD. The "Nokia Phone Browser" thing that does essentially the same thing is no longer shipped with the Nseries PC Suite.

I installed NSERIES PC SUITE in one computer and synchronize it with my N95. The weird thing is I installed it then to my laptop and when I synchronized it only copied the "new" items, eventhough that was the first time I ever did that on that computer.

The things is that I can't find how to tell my device to forget about those changes and synchronize all the stuff in it!!! :frown:

Yes, same problem with Nokia Photos,
I synchronized my PC at work, OK, but now impossible to reobtain my pictures at home.
In the help files they say, you need to modify the pictures then resynchronize...
A little bit rude !
If somebody know where's the synchronization database on the Nokia...
