Hi!
I've been trying to run the Dial-Up Networking Wizard to use my P800 as a modem for connecting my laptop to the web. But the phone monitor does not find my phone, even though it's connected through the cable. And the Troubleshooter does not work (nothing happens when I push the button). The mRouter says that it's connected, and all other functions work, like syncing and installing software. Does anyone else have problems with the Phone Monitor? I'm running Windows XP, by the way.
Networking Wizard/Phone Monitor problems
Yepp, same problem. When i log on to my computer i have contact with my p800. But after a while the connection is lost and I can never get it back. The only solution is to logout in XP and then log in again to gain contact. Anyone have a better way to make the connection work?
My connection works fine with everything but the Networking Wizard. It won't recognize the phone at all.
This is what SE support wrote when I had the same problem:
When you should use P800 as a modem, you first have to set the "Cable status/IR status in the phone to "Modem".
You can change this in "Controlpanel" > "Connection"-tab > "Cable" or "IR".
To be able to use "Dial-Up Networking Wizard" you have to disable the port in "mRouter" in the PC, you can disable the port if you double click on the icon for "mRouter".
Haven't tried it yet, but it sounds logical.
