Is there a Skype for us?

I see there is skype software for the nokia tablet. Is there a version for symbian?

There is IM+ for Skype, by Shape Services, which enables voice and text communication with other Skype users. I had it on my N95 for a while but as I hardly ever use Skype anymore, I ditched it.

i heard that all the VOIP stuff on the Vodafone network had been disabled by them..

Not sure i havnt rtried it but thats what i heard. maybe a firmware update might fix mine

Yes, Vodaphone, Orange and O2 disabled the VOIP functionality in their N95s. Users of Truphone found that a user-reflashing was needed to return the n95 to a generic state before being able to use VOIP. I'm not sure if this is still the case, as there was a big rumpus about it at the time the N95 came out.

Yes, this is still the case with Vodafone.

Fring works fine though.
