could someone please help me how to configure 3.5g on my n95... i'm trying to configure it so it's gonna use hsdpa instead edge when i try to connect to the internet...
i called the rogers wireles data support but i'm being told that since it's not a phone that they cary they can't help me 😞

If your provider offers HSDPA and you have it enabled (as high speed packet data in connections) then you have it and the phone will take advantage of it whenever you are in a 3.5G area. (ver.12 firmware on).
After all that if you don't have it showing on your phone just below the signal icon, then you don't have it!
well u sure u have the north american version of N95 and not the european one?

Rogers is brilliant when it comes to things like this. They use 3g and not 3.5g. Fido (owned by rogers as well) uses the same 3g network.
Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I think only 3g enabled devices can use 3g networks (e.g. N95-3). If you have the N95-1, I don't think it can use the 3g networks in North America.
mmm. i think rogers uses 3.5g... witch is the HSDPA.. UMTS would be 3g... i think...
anyways... my phone is a n95-1 version... european... i guess that's why it's not working. 😞
i thought all n95 were HSDPA compatible...
anyone has any other sugestion?
u need N95-3 for HSPDA to work on rogers. rogers HSPDA runs on 850/1900. and only N95-3 has that.
so i guess there is no way that i can upgrade my software or something in the phone to make it work in canada right? 😞
i guess i'm gonna have to try to sell it now...
