Does anyone know of any development of a native VNC client? The java one just doesn't have enough memory to run and it would be a very useful application. Ironically, the 9110 did have a port.
Thanks
Nigel

Have you tried the Midlet viewer? I hear rumours that worked on the 9210.
Mmm, never heard of that. Can you give me any pointers?
Thanks,
Nigel
I think it's called Active Viewer.
Try popping over to http://www.midletcentral.com, they should have it.
Sorry, I must be dim. I couldn't find it there. Is it compatible with VNC do you know? This is to connect to a selection of existing machines already running VNC.
Thanks,
Nigel
No worries.....

Thanks very much. However, it looks as if the 9210 isn't supported. I tried it anyway with the beta MIDP software from Nokia and it won't load the jave program at all
:cry:
have you tried Remote Control?
It's a tad expensive, but I found it works. It's here -> http://www.bitween.com/v2/eng2/nokia9210eng.htm
Thanks. The price I could cope with, but it doesn't say whether it'll connect to a VNC server. It looks proprietary. It needs to use the VNC protocols as the servers already exist and it's for use in replacement for my normal workstation while I'm travelling.
I know I'm being fussy, perhaps, but I was rather hoping that as VNC was open source, someone might have compiled it
