I tried to have my PC Suite check for an update, but it said that an update is not available. I guess this means that my phone is branded.
I'm very new to symbian and so please excuse me for asking these silly things. How do I unbrand my phone so that I can take advantage of the available update?

You will do better if you actually look through the existing threads yourself before posting. New or not to symbiab (so am I) you are not the first to ask this question. Either press the search button and search for debrand or just browse the last four or five pages of threads, im sure it will be there.

You should be using Nokia Software Updater (NSU) to update your Firmware, not Nokia PC Suite. What instructions are you following?
