major PROBLEMS with my 9210!

9 replies · 3,517 views · Started 26 February 2002

I keep on getting this message (see below) on my 9210, sometimes the message comes up about 18 times! and I have to wait a bout 3 or 4 minutes until I can delete all of them.

Any advice or tips on how to sort this out would be very much appreciated. I don't want to send my 9210 to Nokia Communicate to repair because they take upto 14 days from collection to return it back, and I can't live that long without my 9210.

Application AppArcServerThread
Reason Code Kern-Exec
Reason No3

This sometimes message occurs about 15 times.

It happens when the 9210 is closed.

When did you get this error first time?

Everythime when this error comes, have you used some app or write sms or something before?

Did you install recently any app what can make this error?

What firmware you have?

Thanks for the reply,

I only installed the nokia video player on 2 new Nokia DTS-64mb memory cards I brought.

I have been gettin this error message since I installed the programmes on the memory cards about 5 days ago

also what do you mean by 'firmware'?

The firmware is the version of the Operating System on your phone type *#0000# on the front and you'll get your firmware version. That problem usually occurs when I run something that there isn't enough memory for.

*#0000# from phone side (4.13 is newest)

You use two 64Mb cards and both have memorycard applications installed? Oh, i remember now... you are the guy with nim files User posted image

Hi, I've just typed in that code and I get the message 03.62, is this the old version?

how can I get a upgrade to the newer one you mentioned?

I have about 1.5 meg free in the 9210 memory, I have only installed video player in all of the 10 memory cards I have as I only use them for video clips.

Is this the problem, would I need to reformat the cards when I buy them first?

The free memory I'm referring to is the RAM in the communicator, not what's on C
3.62 is old but only one revision behind 4.13. Upgrades are done by communicaid, who I'm guessing you've dealt with before User posted image
Try rebooting the 9210 and only running the app that causes the error and see if it re-occurs. Then you can see if it is a memory problem or an incompatibility.

In the UK - call club nokia and they will direct you to Communicaid who will arrange for a courier to pickup your phone, upgrade firmware and send it back to you - takes about 1 week - unless you want to visit cambridge where communicaid are based and they should be able to do it within an hour or 2 (book it in with them first).

Yes my c 9210 has been to commuicate many times over the past 2 months, and they take ages in sending it back, last time they took 2 weeks, which is a joke as I can barely live a day without it, but I didn;'t know about going down to Cambridge to have it repaired on the same, its only 1 hours drive from me.#

I think I might just take a trip down there.

Thanks
