I installed the Divx player on my N958gb it plays .avi files fine but I uploaded some DIVX movies in my Phone and Divx player plays the Movies but NO Sound, I also have the same movie files in my computer and I can watch it on realplayer using ORB(remotely accessed) and I can hear sound but the speed is slow so I prefer watching from the phone hard drive. And is there any way to play DIVX movies from internet, is there a Divx web player for mobile?

Probably the sound in your movies is encoded in AC3 format, in this moment there is no software for symbian being able to play it.
The best DIVX player for symbian is Smartmovie. It's absolutely excellent, just don't get version lower than 3.41, others are not happy with N95 screen rotation.

I have Smartmovie but it Takes forever to Convert and it really reduces the quality down, I want to be able to also connect my phone to TV and watch the movies with Good picture and sound quality.

Smartmovie player, not converter. The best and free converter is a PocketDivxEncoder.
As for quality - you're deciding about the settings so it will be as good or as bad as you want it.

So You're saying that Smartmovie PLayer can play Divx files without converting?

Of course, all the normal .avi files from the net or ripped from dvd's etc.
Just the sound in AC3 is not supported.

Is smart movie player better than coreplayer? I like coreplayer because it plays almost anything I throw at it, but the interface is terrible

use imtoo converter, great program and you can see bitrate, format and such info in the program so you can be sure what .avi files you can transfer directly to phone without any kind of convert.
anyway .avi file must be video mpeg4 and have audio format mp3 or it wont work
not sure about the bitrate but most .avi works otherwise just lower the bitrate and maximun video res for divx is 640x480
