is there a catch to truphone or any hidden costs. just used it for first time and unaware. also will a 8o2.11g router work with a 802.11b adapter or Do they both have to be the same? thank you
Truphone
anyone?
Definitely no hidden charges with Truphone. I've used it a bit when travelling abroad to make free phone calls to home. Not sure what their charges will be like after the new year, but it's still completely free to a lot of countries at the moment 😊
As for the router, if it's JUST 802.11g then it won't work with a b adaptor, but almost all the 11g routers are backwards compatible so it should operate with 11b devices too. What are you trying to use? The N95 is compatible with both b and g. In any case, best way to test is just to try it.
is g not better than b? its a g router and a b adapter
im using a virgin media ethenet connection.i just bought a router and plugged it into the digi box and so on and my n95 finds it and it works great but my pc however which is up stairs wont connect. the router is 802.11g and the wirless adapter plugged into my pc is 802.11b do you think that could be the problem?

Yeah, that sounds like your router only works in 11g mode then. What's the exact make/model of the router? If that is the case buying a new wifi adapter for your PC would help.
