Untrusted Software Found on Memory Card

Hey All,

Was wondering if anyone might be able to help me with an issue I have on my phone.

If I turn the phone off, then turn it on again, I get a bar that pops up that says; "Installing"

This is then followed by;

Untrusted software found on memory card. To Uninstall, goto application manager.

I have been into the app manager and there would appear to be something in there called f01fbd20.sis, with a status of "Not Installed"

I've tried removing this from the app manager list but had no luck.

If I try to install this app, it says that I am trying to install "Contacts Transfer" ???????

Never heard of it ?

Help suggests that to uninstall or get rid of software, to press the "c" button.

This doesn't work.

Anybody got any advice ?

Cheers,

Scott

make backup of contacts on pc using pc suite.

put memory card in a 'card reader', connect to a pc, copy anything 'known safe/important', then 'full format' the memory card.

then put the memory card back on phone, then format it from the phone.

this might fix the problem.

Or connect the phone in USB mass storage (data transfer) mode to a PC, enable viewing of hidden&system files and delete the subdirectory (folder) on the memory card with "f01fbd20" in its name.
