I have an N95 and use Nokia PC Suite 6.84 to sync my phone to my outlook etc.. however I do have to say that I am not overally impressed with its sync'ing capabilities. For example, I make a small change to a contact and its not guaranteed to be sync'd between PC and phone. In some instances I have had to have Outlook replace all data on the phone to get certain fields in an outlook contact sync with my N95..
So, I was wondering how the NSeries PC suite compares to Nokia PC Suite. Does it have all the functionality of the Nokia PC Suite?
Are there any improvements in the sync'ing stability?
Thanks

The 2.0 has more function but it crashed wuith the latest N95 V20 firmware...
I called in with connection problems (didn't work anymore).
They called me back with message that they didn't support a beta edition of PC suite!!!
I just grapped the 6.85 (latest) and that one has also more option and runs smoother ...
Try it
PCSuite 2.0 has been very unstable for me on both firmwares.
It often crashes when the N95 is first connected, synchronisation sometimes stalls and the drag and drop file copy (dropping on to the main PCSuite window) doesn't work most of the time (again, just stalling).
I'm not sure why I'm still running it to be honest. It's a nicer UI though and when the problems are fixed, it will certainly be an improvement over the existing version.
i've a question... with the new pc suite, can you view/edit/send sms's through your pc? i use that alot in the old pc suite, and im not keen to upgrade unless i have that function. any input?

I've never used 2.0, but I've recently upgraded to version 6.85 from 6.84. I now have trouble with the texting function, most of the time you can't even open the messages on screen so you can't reply to them. Has anyone else found this?

I can't see the ability to send an SMS through 2.0, but I may just be looking in the wrong place 😊

Yes, I have. Messages will still send but the Inbox won't populate. Bloody Nokia! What ARE they thinking?

This feature isn't present in Nseries PC Suite, for God knows what reason. The only upside is that, should you wish, you can have 2.0 and 6.85 installed together (or even 6.84 if you actually want it to work).
Again... Nokia, Nokia, Nokia... I despair of you.
