Hello,
I need to delete all my contacts in the P800.
There seems to be no way to do this except for the master reset. So two questions:
1. Is there a way to delete all contacts without doing a master reset?
2. What is the code required for the master reset. I cannot find it in the manul.
Any help appreciated.

1. Not that I know of 😞
2. The default code is 0000
Delete all contacts in outlook and then sync your phone, that should work... 😃
From your name (Per) it looks like you are from Sweden. A master reset will delete the Swedis Language in your phone, and leave you with English only, with no way to get it back (until a new firmware will enable this function)

You can delete them one by one. Open the contact and in menu you have "Delete contact" option.
This is BTW a serious usability flaw in P800: in many places you have to open an object (contact, image, message etc) in order to delete it. Multiple selection list and object manipulation from the list is missing in too many places....
Wellwe can hope that SE hears us by making a new firmware so that we woud be able to to that...
DO YOU HEAR US!!!! SE DO YOU HEAR US!!!!!!
Delete the contacts.cdb using SMan. Solved.

That file is always in use for starters, and then what would happen when you open contacts?
The best way is to use QuickContact. Apart from doing all sorts ofuseful things, there is an option to delete all contacts. If you want to delete just certain categories, just position yourself in that category first.

Go to your Contacts List, under options select 'Mark/unmark' > Mark all.
You should then see all your contacts have a little tick next to them, next select options > delete. This should delete them in one go and save you the hassle of binning each contact one at a time.
As you have found the file Contacts.cdb is always in use and therefore system protected.
