Integrated Search V20 Firmware

Is anyone else struggling to use the integrated search function in the new N95 V20 firmware?

When launching from standby screen nothing happens so I tried to reinstall it using "Download" but that won't work either.

Any ideas?

Nope, it works just fine on my N95. In fact, I'm mighty impressed by it. Love the way it allows me to search the internet or various aspects of my N95's content.

It's ok except it searches yahoo and Live... I'd rather load up the web browser and use google

Mine can be a bit suspect, it is reluctant to start and quite clunky in response once it is open. It far worse in this respect than the version that was not built into the start page. Quite a disappointment.

I suspect it's due to using a restore. I will reflash and just start again.

Did a reflash and it still didn't work, grrr!

Just wondered if removing my microSD would make a difference and guess what it did! So now need to hunt through the SD to find the culprit.

cant u format the sd?

Well I could format it but there are lots of other items on there I want to keep without having to go through reinstall.

Anyway a quick seach of the SD found lots of mobilesearch items so moved them all and all is well now.

I formatted one of my cards and it has made no difference to the sluggish start up. I remain disappointed.

Ok found them using ybrowserin the resource folder, but it wont let me delete them, I cant even see the folder using file manager, and the folder does not show using my pc. I have a new memory card on the way, so I will try that card and if all is fine copy only what i need to the new card, unless anybody has any other suggestions

got em, connected to pc in data mode, deleted files, and search works, rebooted phone and it would not boot, took out mem card and it was ok, refitted card and all seems ok now, and will hopefully remain that way, I'll still be transfering everything to my new 4 gig card when it arrives, thanks to all who helped.
