I'd always heard people when saying battery life tips to always turn bluetooth off, but things like the Energy Monitor tests suggest it makes no difference?
Should I just leave my bluetooth on?
So, is it really so hard to get the conclusion?
PEOPLE saying vs proof?

I think it's a common misconception to suggets to turn it off - see http://www.allaboutsymbian.com/forum//forum/thread/67175/ (not only with Nokia users, but also those with Windows Mobile - before my publishing some real WinMo results, most WinMo users tended to deactivate BT even when this was a real pain in the back for them)
It will ONLY have any effect on your battery life if you don't use your N95 for anything else than calling people and, therefore, only recharge it every two or three days. Otherwise, you won't see any negative effect.

Well ive seen a few posts in the last few days for "proof" vs years of websites and posts saying turn it off

Did any of these websites actually measure the battery drain caused by BT with current hardware & firmware versions? 😉 That is, is "turn off BT whenever you can" based on real, well-documented and current (not vastly outdated hard & firmware) measurements, or, just on, say, six-year-old hardware?
I don't question BT does have SOME additional battery consumption, but it's FAR lower than most think. It's almost unmeaurable and it's even lower than the standard "noise" of the device. You'll only see it in effect if you recharge your device every other (or third) day - that is, if you don't use it much for anything else than occassional phone calls. Otherwise, always switching it off (and, then, on, when you plan to use some BT hardware) is just unnecessary hassle - particularly if you very often use BT hardware (A2DP headphones etc.).
I have bluetooth as a shortcut via down on the directional pad.
Want bluetooth on? Quick press down and turn it on. Easy.
