Like devicescape, but local?

Hi, does anyone know of an application similar to DeviceScape for managing WLAN access points, but which stores the information locally rather than on a web-server?

I fear that the policy of my employer would not allow me to enter the details for the access points at my workplace 😞

Your good old N95 can store quite a few access point details. Perhaps I'm missing something, though after figuring out what devicescape actually is, I don't quite grasp why you are asking for an application that could only really duplicate what you already have built in.

Menu -> Tools -> Settings -> Connection -> Access Points -> Options -> New Access Point

I have about 25 defined already. No problem at all with authentication. Happens automatically once set up. The only thing it doesn't do I guess is automatically log you in to those sites that require additional web based authentication for network access.

Hmm, maybe you're right. I liked the idea of being able to set a default access point for an app, and not worry about which app I'm actually using...

One more question about that: Does it remember the passwords as well?

Devicescape is really good for the likes of T-Mobile, BT OPENZONES etc etc, saves having to manually put username and password into the home page everytime I want to use WiFi in Starbucks.
