I made this new thread for this one (from community waffle), and i hope we can find some other interesting stuff from this "unhide"
I mean getting access to delete/modify files on z <B>if</B> there is some way..
If anyone knows what common there are in these codes.. the result is same (settings>show rom) but what else
++SP
++DP
++VP
++LP
If we can find other key compinations?
I found
++version
++date
Don't ask me what good they are (apart from the obvious), but they're there....
In what other applications are they likely to exist?
Maybe they're called <B>Volkerscodes</B> (I found that encoded near the other codes)?
I don't fancy trying a code that contains a <B>BCKSPC ENTER</B>!

yyhh... i see.. But i need to get access to delete/modify some files..

TANKERx how did you find the ++version and ++date? Do you have a decoders or something we can use?

Hi,
Sorry I haven't replied sooner. I can only post from <I>somwehere else</I> at the moment since my computer is currently in a transition from XP to Linux (sorry Switchblade, I almost went to BeOS, but I got pulled farther down the shelf at the last minute
)
Anyway. I downloaded <B>frhed</B> from -> http//www.geocities.com/frhed/ , copied the File Manager files to my PC, loaded the .app file into <B>frhed</B> and did a search on some of the codes already mentioned.
Within <B>frhed</B>, do a search on <B>+'<I>Smaller Than</I>' bh00 '<I>Greater Than</I>'+</B> and you'll be taken to the Volkerscodes (?).
<I>sorry about the faffing in my typing, but I don't know how to do the pointy brackets without having to disable HTML - I'm a bit simple you see
but happy

Linux, ha ha ha ha ha..... You are going to have days of fun there, especially if it's your first linux installation
When after 2-3 days you are still totally lost grab a copy of BeOS, trust me it's simple, even an M$ Luser could understand it.

and < = & L T
remove the spaces obviously

The first Linux installation I did was with a friend on a 486 box we had spare so we could say we managed it, it took us 2 weeks to get it running so that we could get X & KDE on it
Though distributions have gotten a bit better in the last 2 years.

Bastard I thought I clicked edit, DAMN! Sorry all.
It's Ok. I've done it a few times with less friendly distributions so this one should be easy enough...... if I'd only remembered some basic IT when I tried setting it up last night, I wouldn't have trashed my XP setup
Never mind. As we say in Wales; "Dyfal donc"
They say all things happen for a reason, at least for you it was a good thing
WindozeXP - just when you thought things couldn't get any worse....
