Has anyone managed to get gutsy syncing with their N95.
I had an early version of ubuntu syncing no probs but Im now stuck...

Are there any linux Ubuntu Gutsy users here?? 😊

I'm getting round to pairing my N95 with Gutsy, but haven't quite had the time. However, I had sought out this which I hope might be of help!

Thanks Richard, I've look at that link prior to posting here but somethings not quite right. Im working with all other connections... so I can view the device and its contents and I have a desktop app that lets me drop to it to send to the device but I just dont seem to be able to sync contacts. Its no biggy, but I'd like to get it done....

Thanks for your info tho... and let me know if you try it yourself.

I use eGroupware on Gutsy to keep a centralized repo of contacts and calendar. From there I sync with N95 easily (via my WLAN, not bluetooth) and thunderbird. It works fine.
I installed the latest egroupware 1.4 from egroupware.org not the 1.2 version from the gutsy repo as it provides better compatibility of contact fields. It runs on Apache2 and PostgreSQL (which I use anyway for other stuff).
A configuration guide for N95 is here

Another option is to use an LDAP server on your pc and sync with that.

cool, I'll have a look at that then on my return to the UK... cheers.

had another look at this tonight, and seems Ive sorted my problem out, and that was that the *#mac_wlan# was giving me a different address to the hcitool scan address....

used the hci address in the multisync script and hey presto 😊
