Hello all,
I was wondering if everyone's e90 outside screen colors are a bit off? Compared to the interior screen my dots blue theme seems purple. Is this common or did i get a dud?

E90 outer screen color a bit off?
Someitmes in low light conditions, when the screen dims automatically (due to light sensor) , the reflective backing of the screen does make purple blotches appear at certain angles, but these chase across the screen as i alter the phones position in my hand...
perhaps your theme or background is messing with the colour pallete? im still using boring theme of turquoise...
thanks scott,
I am using the default theme for the e90 "dots blue" and you can tell the differences when the screen is on and not in any power saving mode. I tried to capture the differences using my digital camera, but they seem the same in the image. I called nokia's tech support and asked if they should be the same, they said yes and suggested i replace the unit. Knowing how color is subjective i called again (different guy), and i got the same answer: "it should be exactly the same."
I also notice that white images have a blue hue to them.

but the actual difference looks more like

I know that this may actually be how its supposed to be, but just want to be sure!
ScottE90: when you use the dots blue (one of the default themes) do you notice the color difference in the background? or white segments of an image to have blue hue?
thanks

ive just switched back to blue dots...
id say my inside matches the outside... but i would say that the outside appears darker, probably due to lack of gradients etc.
i cant see a blue tinge to the whiteness, but now you mention it, when i first got the unit out of the box, i didnt think the screen was a little bit blue...
it mus tbe ever so slightly tinged with blueness, but you will soon forget about it.
certainly not worth sending your phone off (and here i am filing off one of my rubber feet with a nail file)
