N95 Fascia Removal

I have come across a few sites and you tube videos on how to dismantle an N95 and for the main casing not too hard. 4 screws for the front cover and back prizes apart, held by clipping on the ways its moulded and supported by 6 little square adhievces. Not to sure about the other parts.

The main problem is what your changing it for.

Its not legit nokia made which means its a gamble that it will all fit snug like the original casing does. <<points out main nav keys are indented rather than raised>>

I would like to change mine to black rather than plum but until nokia bring out direct replacements im not going to bother.

PS Ebay stuff not good. If blue unplugged do a black casing better.

Hope that helps.

For best results you need a Torx 5 plus bit. An ordinary Torx 5 bit may mess up the screws.

hi
i have a nokia N95 service manual which i downloaded off another site, but it was removed at the request of nokia.
i dont want to offend the moderators of this site so i wont post untill i get the go ahead from some-one.
so if a moderator can let me know if i can PM this or not please!

It is copyright but if you google for N95_RM-159_RM-245_sm_level_1_2.pdf you should find it.
