sorry if this has been posted before, i have just updated to version 20.
i have backed up my old phone settings, contacts and such.
problem is i have restored the backup and the menus have changed from the default V20 to the old ones on my backup.
anyway i can change this or do i have to re-flash the phone?
Yup, there are a few zip files floating about the net that have something in them to restore the V20 menu layout, or you can change it by manually shifting everything back to where it would normally be, lastly, you could flash it again without doing a restore. Sorry, I don't recall where I saw these menu restore files, might even have been here on this forum.

Do not reflash. If you do a full phone format (*#7370#) it will restore the phone to as if you reflashed. Restore anything you like except Settings; do those manually. Restoring settings across different versions and Varaints of firmware is not usually recommended on any equipment.
bugger, thanks for that, so if i back up my contacts and then do the hard reset it should then work as if it was a new phone. cool, thanks for that.

Go to this nokia site and download the "New_Menu_Structure.SIS" file in order to restore the V20 menu structure after a restore of settings from older firmware.
