Hey all,
I tried to play the N-Gage demos last night while stuck on the train and they wouldn't launch. I went into the n-gage app, to the demos and clicked (both the center nav button and the left selection key) and nothing happened. This was the same for both Fifa and Asphalt. I know there is only limited play on them but I have only played them twice each so it can't be that. I did a hard reset a couple of weeks ago after some problems restoring my v12 backup so it should be all nice and clean but they aren't working 😞

I've got a similar problem. Another symptom is that during the n-gage intro movie when you start up the app, there is no sound. Do you have that too?

Only on silent profile. It plays fine on general (or any with sound enabled)
Sorry, I don't have a work around for the sound issue.

I was just hoping they were related so that I wasn't the only one with the issue (it played the music the first time it loaded). I hadn't mentioned it before, as I wasn't bothered about the demos and hoped that when the full n-gage application comes out, it would be fixed.
I'll moan more if that isn't the case 😊

Hi - My n-gage demo's do not play either. I've upgraded to V20 and everything else is absolutely great with none of the other issues some are reporting....i've still not found the demand paging app though 😉
I'm not really that upset about the demos not working, but interested to find out why?
Any help much appreciated.
RE: The sounds, make sure you have Warning Tones enabled in your Profile settings.

Demand paging is not an application. It's an automatic feature that is part of the firmware that works like a page file on your PC.

I was indeed being sarcastic. I'd been amusing myself reading all of the comments regarding the upgrade to V20 firmware and all of the dissapointed users reporting that they couldn't find the application and couldn't resist a cheeky dig!
Did you manage to resolve the n-gage demos not working issue? I've tried a firmware re-flash with no restore or memory card, i've tried a 7370 and still no demo's?
I've been a big nokia/symbian fan since the nokia 6600, then an N80, and an N95 since May this year. I've always followed this forum and aas website and have found it to be an excellent source of info.
Nope, still not resolved it on mine. I'm not fussed about the demos, just concerned if it might be a symptom of another problem that will give me hassle when n-gage games are available

The demo version of FIFA 07 only allows you to play 10 matches before it stops working. I don't know if Asphalt 3 does the same, I haven't played it enough yet!
I know but as my original post states, I haven't played either of them anywhere near the limits
