certificates, and stuff

Ive had a good read around, but not sure if what i want to do is possible:

Basically, ive firmware updated an N95 to V20, it was previously on '3' network on v12 firmware.

Cut a long story short, i need to install MSN Messenger from 3's website (please dont tell me to use official version, 3 restricts msn traffic on its network). Only 3's version of MSN will work, no other MSN client will work due to blocked network traffic.

upon trying to install it, i get a certificate error. All certificate checking is turned off etc, and this is where i am stuck.

I dont fulyl udnerstand teh signed vs unsigned business, but im guessing it invovles keys and hashes based on IMEI number etc.

Basically im missing the key's that were on the device in the first place, that would allow this software to install.

Im guessing this thread is of no use to me http://www.gosymbian.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=757 as the file is already signed ?

I have access to an N95 in the same state as the phone before i upgraded it, is there a way to copy the keys/certificates between phones?

Am i screwed? Any help appreciated.

Cheers,

Scott
