NSU doesnt find new f/w!?!?!

So I may be new to this forum but I am certainly not a rookie. Ive been checking on various other forums as well as this one, that my N95-1's product code- 0548986 is the same as other people's and yet they managed to update theirs to v20! then i searched for the same code on this forum and lo and behold it was on the list! I just cant understand why this is happening because I bought an extra nokia warranty so i cant risk flashing vis NSS either. Can people with the same product code or ones that do know a lot about NSU help me here? thnx

Have you isntalled NSS to confirm the product code that is actually on the device?

Your sticker / hard ware could be mismatched...

are you very sure you have latest nokia suite and NSU?

yes im sure. because i never touched the product code after i bought the phone. and it would be very rare for nokia to mismatch it. but i will still try it out.

EDIT:Just checked in NSS and made sure that the product code for the phone was indeed 0548986. Looking at it, it does seem to be very easy, but then warranty is the only thing stopping me right now.

What message do you get from NSU? Does it read your current firmware and Model Number (RM-) correctly?

Are you sure it's out for this Product Code? Its the India Country Variant (CV).

No.... People with the 0548986 product code haven't been updating to v20. I don't know what that product code is for, but Nokia's website suggests that the latest firmware version for it is v12.

So yeah, people who have the v20 now changed their product codes to one of the EURO1 ones (0536062 or 0534841) using NSS. You can either do that, or wait (possible forever).

i havent done it ever though. is it just as easy as changing it with nss to one that has it? and what if i brick my cell accidently?

EDIT: Okay nevermind. I did manage to flash a new indian serial code thinking it is better to flash another one from the same region. hopefully i get no more problems like some other people here get. i also updated it to v20. thanks to all the people that tried to help me
