Hi I bought new laptop and was looking forward faster music transfer to my phone. On old pc I was using usb cable to transfer music to the phone and specialy conversion in m4a took ages.
But when I try to copy to phone or copy to my collection an choose yes to convert it says: The following tracks were not converted because they are already in target format or file format is not supported.
I've checked settings and it's the same. I was trying it on same tracks. Only thing what differ is that on new laptom I'm using Vistas and on old PC there were XPs.

I've heard somewhere, that Nero 7 does the job. But even though I installed nero mega plugin, there is still no choice for m4a.

Now u can convert ur m4a, or other music to a format that ur phone is able to play (MP3 is best i reckon)
Remember copy protected m4a cannot be converted! No program is able to covert them.

You got me wrong. I'm trying to convert my mp3s to m4a. It saves heaps of space and quality is totally enough.
I've seen the error of my ways.....!
So, this only spurred me on to find exactly what u need.
And I did! Here it is "Switch Audio Converter". Its shareware but comes with a no trial limit basic free license.
It converts MP3 to M4A, and a bunch of other stuff.

(They're rapidshare links rather than linking to download from software's website as this is older version of Switch. This version comes with the basic free license, that wont expire, where as newer version comes with a time limited license which will run out and ur'd have to buy it, this way aint gotta!)

TIP!: let it connect to the internet if ur filewall asks ya, cos when u do ur first conversion it has to download aacenc so it can encode to M4A.
