I keep getting
A critical error occured (0x80100013). Restart our device and Content Copier. Then try again. If this does not help, try restarting your PC

when trying to back up using content copier, any ideas why?

Liam

yes i am as i thought that would be better for the n95 8gb a top end nseries phone!!

I have the standard PC suite too and updated that yesterday.

Is nokia aware of this issue?

Can I keep both on my laptop with no issues I take it?

Also if i do want to uninstall it like you have how do I do it. When I go to add remove programmes it lists every part of the nseries pc suite individually, isnt there a remove all function?

liam

yeah you would think that wouldnt you! 😉 but... unfortunately it seems some are having that problem.

anyway theres a pc suite removal tool... which I dont have a link to at the moment, but its there... use that, then reinstall the 'old' version.

thanks for that.

I have the standard pc suite also installed so ill use that for the time being.

Do you have a link to get the pc suite removal tool i cant find it on nokia site.

Also do you know how to remove old back up files from old phone in pc suite. I have some back ups from my 6630 that I want to rmeove but cant figure out how to do it..
thanks in advance

Liam

Wirelessly posted (Sony Ericsson M600i: Opera/8.01 (J2ME/MIDP; Opera Mini/3.0.6560/1724; en; U; ssr))

Hw 2remove old back files?
Change your windows explorer view option to 'show hidden files' .
Now go to your pc's C -drive with windows explorer, open your drive ,open 'program files' .
Ths place will be slightly different fm wht it use to be since 'hidden files' are shown.
There should be now visible a folder called 'common files' or 'application data' or something like that (cant remember -i'm not near my pc)..
It ths folder you should see a folder marked either just 'Nokia' or marked 'PC Suite'..inside the folder you'll see the folder marked 'Content Copier' --this folder houses folders containing the 'backups' of the phone . The folders are labelled with your Phone's IMEI number, the date of backup;all clumped together ,kind like this :: 3572527800008887120107 -this means IMEI number is 357252780000887 and date of backup is 12th of january 2007.
You can copy the folders you want.
Hope this all helps..

I have an N95 8Gb and use the Nseries PC Suite, mine is V2.0, downloaded from here:-

http://www.nokia.com/betalabs/nseriespcsuite

Also, like you, I too had the standard Nokia PC Suite running initially as well, version 6.85, and, like you, I developed problems, primarily with connections on Backup and Sync also with Explore your Nokia device.
I removed not only the standard PC Suite but also the Nseries V2.0 as well as the Connectivity cable drivers with Add and Remove prog's. Uninstalling V2.0 is easy as so long as the boxes are ticked it will remove the lot (with maybe the exception of Video Manager).
I then reinstalled Nseries PC Suite v2.0 and have not experienced any of the original problems with connections.
I must say that I like the new Nseries PC Suite as it has a number of useful features such as drag and drop for files.
It does however get a bit tempremental if I connect my N95-1 or 6330 to it as well.

what about uninstalling the older nseries though, is there a uninstaller for it? its a nightmare using add remove programmes?

Try to download easy uninstaller ( check in google ) and then uninstall the Nseries PC SUite and try to download Nseries pc suite beta 2.0 on your PC and try.
