I have recently 'rejigged' my music collection on my N95.
Now, when I go into music player application and select artists, it shows artists that have no songs associated with them.
If I take the option to delete, then I get the error 'not yet supported'.
I tried doing a music library refresh but they are still there.
I am on V20 firmware if that makes any difference.
Thanks in advance.
Same problem for me. I deleted some music on my card, but they still show up in the "music player". They ar correctly viewed in my active standby screen though undder the new meny alternative "search: internet and..."!
^ Same here. Before the update (V20) my music files would be located in Menu > Gallery > Tracks > Music
Now I have to go to Menu > Search Internet and My Content > Songs to play them.
The Music Player key feature is useless right now.

Yeah, I have the album '18' that won't go away.
Yeah, it's an annoying bug that I don't know why they haven't fixed yet while at the same time they're pushing all those music features and services.
I have ghost songs in my playlist even after I updated my firmware - very annoying. I haven't found a solution other than formatting the phone which is total B.S. just to get the music list in order and after I delete some music it will probably happen again so it's pointless.
Thats the issue, I could reformat my phone to clean it up (although a major PITA) but then the same will happen next time I change the songs on my N95.
Is there a correct way to do this or is it just a rubbish system for music. Are there other music players that handle the playlist database better and do not show artists if you delete the songs?
Mike
18 is the Moby album which the song "In My Heart" is from. which is a locked track. unless you can delete it

Yes, but the point is that you can delete it and it still shows up in the music player. I have the same issue with "ghost" podcasts.
